ICT lesson Arctic Tundra

Open a word document and select Ariel font size 14 bold and underlined.  Centre your text and type title:  Investigating the Arctic Tundra

Keep Ariel text but change to size 12 and take off bold and underline, align your text to the left and read the task appropriate to your level from the selection below.

Using you knowledge from last lesson complete the appropriate task from below:-

Level 3
Select a picture form the internet that shows what a tundra biome looks like.
List some animal and plant species that live in the tundra biome
Outline the location of the Arctic Tundra
List some features/characteristics of what the Arctic tundra is like.

Level 4
Identify from the internet an appropriate image to give an impression of what the Arctic tundra looks like
Describe what the Arctic tundra is like and make reference to the image you have chosen.  In your description you should include location, climate, seasons, plants, animals, tribes.

Level 5
Examine the features of the Arctic tundra that make it a special biome
Explain the importance of the Arctic tundra

Level 6
Analyse the importance of the Arctic tundra, giving a brief introduction to the biome and its characteristics
Predict might happen in the future to the Arctic tundra and show appreciation of the impacts of any changes that might occur

HW
Finish your work from class and try to complete one task from the level above.
Due Tuesday, printed out and in back of book.

Presenting your Powerpoint

If you would like to be chosen to present your powerpoint then you need to be able to share it with the class.  You have 2 options:-

Option 1:
Save powerpoint from school machine onto memory stick ready for class next Friday

Option 2:
Open a slideshare account and upload your powerpoint onto it and then you'll be able to retreive your powerpoint from my machine online next lesson- give it a go!!!
